Mark James is an award winning film maker and artist. With his production company Widestream Films Ltd Mark actively develops and produces new documentary and feature film projects.
Mark began taking photos with his father’s film camera around the age of 7. Since then he’s taken thousands of photos of people and places often connected with his film work and also as source material for his paintings.
Mark has made many films for television, including Channel 4, the BBC and Sky Arts and worked with many leading figures in the arts from artists such as Damien Hirst and pop stars Dave Stewart, Bryan Ferry and Phil Collins. Along the way, Mark has taken many distinctive portraits of friends, family and the artists he’s worked with.
Mark works in a relaxed, informal style with great attention to setting and light. Mark enjoys getting to know his subject, putting them at ease with the aim of reflecting his subjects personality in the most endearing and captivating way.
Mark is now dedicating some time each week to take beautiful headshot or portrait photographs, and is offering these services at a introductory discounted rate for a limited time.
Photography sessions take place at his art studio in Muswell Hill, London N10, or at selected locations such as iconic buildings, scenic parks, and other suitable backdrops. Refreshments, bathroom / changing facilities are available at the studio.
